Alicante capital, with 299 days of sunshine a year, mild temperatures of 20 degrees, just 24 days of rain per year and a very low wind index (7), consolidates itself as the third happiest capital in Spain, only behind Malaga and Almeria. Added to these factors is its coastal nature, proximity to the Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández international airport and a wide network of educational and hospital services that reinforce its position in the ranking.
Santa Pola, with 313 sunny days and a balanced climate, confirms that not only the big capitals accumulate well-being. For its part, Elche stands out for its combination of cultural offerings, privileged natural environments such as El Hondo or Clot de Galvany, and its excellent connectivity, as well as an average temperature of 19 degrees and a low incidence of rain.
Beyond the top 3, the province has up to ten municipalities in the top positions of the national ranking. Guardamar del Segura (87.55 points), El Campello (87.24), Torrevieja (87.19) or Benidorm (86.87) reinforce the Costa Blanca as a pole of happiness, thanks to its privileged climate, its proximity to the sea and its good provision of essential services.
The report also confirms that the Valencian Community is among the five happiest communities in Spain. In addition to Alicante and Santa Pola, Valencia capital (85.97 points) and municipalities such as Sagunto (86.68) or Puçol (85.30) stand out . In Castellón, although the capital marks more moderate scores (67.39 points), coastal towns such as Xilxes (85.90) or Moncofa (85.36) reinforce the relevance of the Mediterranean arc.
